2010 Super Bowl XLIV Information
Super Bowl XLIV will be the 44th annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 40th annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL). The game will be played at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. This marks the tenth time a Super Bowl will have played in the Miami metro area: five times the game has been held at Dolphin Stadium; the other five were played at the Orange Bowl. The league has not explicitly announced the precise date but has stated that the 2010 Pro Bowl will be played on January 31 of that year, and also that date will be one week before the Super Bowl, which means that Super Bowl will be played on February 7, 2010. The game will be televised in the United States on CBS, which will celebrate coverage of its 50th NFL season (1956–93; 1998–present). It also broadcast the most recent Super Bowl held in Miami, Florida (XLI).
Since the oddsmakers set the lines accordingly, it's very profitable for them to pick off inexperienced bettors who place large wagers on the Super Bowl. Even folks who don't normally bet on NFL games break out their wallets to bet the Super Bowl. This affects the betting lines for the Super Bowl and almost always will produce line movement of some type. Understanding this line movement and the reason for line set is just a few elements to consider when handicapping the Super Bowl. We have always had an advantage over the oddsmakers and we welcome the thousands of new clients we serve every year to join us in dominating the books with our Super Bowl XLIV pick.
